Job Summary

This role will be responsible for handling RFQs and RFPs, developing and managing the pricing rates and budget charts for our translation services, and collaborating closely with the finance, operations, sales, and licensing teams. This role involves working with vendors to assign work and refine pricing strategies to optimize profitability and competitiveness.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive pricing strategies for our instruments and services.

• Manage the process of responding to RFIs and RFPs, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.

• Collaborate with the proposal team to develop competitive and compelling proposals.

• Prepare and deliver accurate quotations to clients, ensuring alignment with pricing strategies and cost structures.

• Maintain a database of standard pricing templates and historical quotes for reference.

• Develop and maintain detailed budget charges for instruments, including cost analysis and forecasting.

• Monitor and report on budget variances, providing insights and recommendations for adjustments.

• Work closely with vendors to negotiate pricing and terms

• Manage client and vendor relationships to support the timely and efficient delivery of products and services.

• Provide pricing support and guidance to the licensing and sales team, including training on pricing tools and methodologies.

• Generate regular reports on pricing performance, including win/loss analysis and margin analysis.

• Conduct periodic reviews of pricing strategies to ensure competitiveness and profitability.

• Responsibility for financial reporting on the project including tracking deliverables and invoicing

• Create and maintain project task lines and values within project management software and track revenue recognition plans

• Meet with team members on a regular basis regarding project tasks to ensure project milestones are met.

• Work with Team Leads, Managers,and Head of Department to support any administrative and operational activities.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field

• 3 years of experience in pricing, financial analysis, or a similar role, preferably in life science or translation industry; or, equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

• Excellent written/verbal communication skills

• Fluency in English is essential

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial modeling tools

• Demonstrated ability to deliver results to the appropriate quality and timeline metrics

• Ability to follow instructions/guidelines, work independently and on own initiative

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers

• Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and consistency of data
