Job Profile Summary
Under general supervision, desig ns, develop s , and maintain s the pipelines, infrastructure, tools, and frameworks needed to facilitate the collection, analysis, modelling and visualization of data.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions
Develops and maintains data pipelines to clean, transform, and prepare data for analytics, ensuring data accuracy and consistency aligned with business goals.
Design and implement data models to ensure data quality, scalability, and efficiency.
Create and update documentation for data processes, data flows, and system configurations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and provide technical expertise in data engineering.
Continuously optimize data pipelines and processes to improve performance and efficiency.
Translates business requirements into technical specifications, including data streams, integrations, transformations, databases and data warehouses.
Implements data governance practices to ensure data consistency, quality, and traceability throughout the data lifecycle.
Experience
Essential Functions
2–3 years of proven experience in the data analytics and data engineering field.
Proficiency in SQL and experience with scripting languages (Python, R, etc.).
Familiarity with data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
Understanding of basic ETL concepts, including data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
Familiarity with orchestration tools for ETL processes (e.g., Apache Airflow, Prefect).
Knowledge of data integration techniques and best practices.
Experience with data mapping, data modeling and data transformation rules.
Ability to troubleshoot and debug ETL processes.
Skills in data quality assessment, data profiling, and data cleansing.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Experience with DBT (data build tool).
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
