IQVIA Senior Director, R&D Research in Parsippany, New Jersey

The Senior Director, R&D Research leads efforts to design, develop and execute R&D-related research initiatives that result in thought leadership content that will be used globally to engage with a broad set of stakeholders in support of the corporate positioning of IQVIA, reflecting our breadth of capabilities and expertise, and bringing evidence-based insights and perspective to a broad range of topics related to the life sciences innovation eco-system.

Essential Functions

  • Identifies gaps in existing thought leadership content where distinctive perspectives can be developed in support of corporate positioning and stakeholder engagement.

  • Develops analytic frameworks and concepts for rigorous and consistent sets of analysis that can be leveraged for multiple purposes.

  • Anticipates and responds to ad hoc requests for information from clients, business management and executive management.

  • Works under tight deadline pressure when reviewing material to be presented and ensuring quality and consistency of content.

  • Works collaboratively with colleagues on externally funded research.

  • Proactively engages with RDS executive management, regional business unit leaders, and business development/go-to-market leaders on current topics related to R&D to identify capabilities and offerings to showcase in thought leadership content.

  • Presents insights and perspectives externally to multi-stakeholder audiences, including clinical investigators, regulators, sponsors, patient organizations and policymakers.

  • Provides leadership throughout the company on selected global information methodology development, analytical approaches and insight synthesis on leading edge and current R&D topics.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • US Remote/Home Based and willing to travel up to 20% globally.

  • Bachelor's Degree Required.

  • Other Advanced Degree in Medicine or sciences Preferred.

  • 10+ years of pharmaceutical industry or CRO experience and/or with IQVIA Required .

  • Thorough understanding of the IQVIA offerings in the customer environment strongly preferred.

  • Has broad knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and issues related to R&D productivity .

  • Works willingly and effectively with others in and across the organization to accomplish team goals.

  • Strong problem solving, analytical, project management and planning skills.

  • Knowledge and understanding of the marketplace and professional/trade associations key people and companies.

  • Able to manage complex relationships and juggle priorities.

  • Has strong client relationship and influencing skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $152,700.00 - $283,700.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
