IQVIA Information Security Project Manager in Parsippany, New Jersey
The Information Security Project Manager Security role presents a dynamic opportunity to manage and drive the secure execution of the IQVIA global information technology (IT) security architecture, cloud-based and acquired/merged projects through all phases of the development life cycle. You will ensure project scope and deliverables are completed as planned and deliver the intended value for IQVIA, business partners and members. The project manager will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.
This role plays a part in our global Information Security team and will provide an excellent opportunity to liaise with key external and internal stakeholders while strengthening our Information Security function.
You will work closely with and will be part of a global CIO organization structure partnering with the Business Units community and their related teams. You will also find yourself working together with other IQVIA Information Security managers and staff, and with Business Unit teams. Principal responsibilities will include:
Directs and manages strategic and tactical technology focused projects from feasibility analysis through execution.
Develops project plans and associated communication documents and meeting schedules. Ensures timely and effective communication of project expectations to team members and stakeholders. Assists in defining project success criteria and ensures involved parties understand expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
Defines project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with project sponsor, management, and stakeholders.
Performs risk analysis and cost-benefit analysis to inform project prioritization.
Develops resource plans.
Responsible for managing large complex enterprise projects.
Develops and communicates project plans and schedules.
Solicits proposals from vendors and manages vendor selection process.
Manages project scope, schedule, cost, quality, internal and external resources, communication, risk, and stakeholders.
Schedules and facilitates project-related meetings.
Represents project to stakeholders at all levels of organization through written communications and presentations.
Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
Creates required project management documentation including project charter, project plan, schedule, and status reports.
Utilizes SDLC documentation including requirements, design document, test plan, change documentation, end-user guide and support document.
Provides leadership and accountability to the project team so that they can effectively partner, align, grow, and achieve desired results.
Provides frameworks that enable stakeholders to make informed, timely, and effective decisions.
Continuously improves project management practices, processes and tools, trains and mentors on best practices, processes, and tools.
Support a security program focusing on cloud environments (including hybrid cloud), as well as environments acquired through M&A, including both new technological and organizational capabilities across the enterprise
Required Experience and Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Information Security, IT Delivery, IT Project Management or other related areas
Experience with IT security, M&A security, and cloud security projects (Azure, AWS, CASB, SASE, CSPM, CWPP, SaaS security, IaaS/PaaS security) preferred.
Proficiency with waterfall and agile project management methodologies; certification preferred.
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage the planning and execution of technology projects through all phases of the development life cycle.
Proven ability to effectively drive desired result through complex, enterprise projects.
Demonstrated ability to manage change impact and adoption for technology projects.
Highly organized, with ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and cross-functional teams.
Ability to be nimble and work in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing conditions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate in a straightforward manner and focus on key points.
Ability to make presentations to small and large groups at all levels within the organization.
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to establish trust and cooperative relationships to influence outcomes at all levels within the organization.
Understanding of the products and services, systems, procedures policies and regulations specific to financial institutions preferred.
Proficiency with a variety of project management tools including Project, Smartsheets and Jira or similar applications.
Experience in information technology related projects focused on IT infrastructure, networks design, databases, processing systems, web applications, mobile technology, cloud, big data, virtualization, protocols and technologies supporting encryption, authentication, access control, information systems attack patterns, intrusion detection, and network security
