Data Management Consultant, Omnichannel Marketing

The Consultant position on the Campaign and Data Services team supports internal and external clients with data sourcing, and appropriate data loads in the creation of reporting deliverables. Responsible for the on-time completion of projects or components of large, complex projects for clients in the life sciences field. Identifies and elevates potential new business opportunities and assists in the sales process. Should be comfortable working within a team environment or on their own depending on the deliverable. The role will be an individual contributor who is part of a high visibility team with direct impact on the business.

Role responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams at IQVIA

  • Perform analysis on data that is acquired by IQVIA or our client

  • Identify issues with systems/processes and proposes solutions or improvements

  • Manipulate and transform data to optimize analyses

  • Complete various ad-hoc deliverables for clients that meet specifications given by client

  • Researches, analyzes, and responds to clients, which may require an in-depth understanding of the client, specific business line, and/or therapeutic market

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in defining project specifications and functional requirements

  • Maintain documented inventory of existing reports, routinely testing data validity, and responding to inquiries regarding report details

  • Take ownership in researching data and solutions and making recommendations

  • Leverage tools such as PowerPoint to improve visuals and “storytelling” of data

  • Meet service level standards and responding timely with patience, empathy, and courtesy and high attention to details

Desired Skills:

  • Able to work through an ambiguous business question from concept to presentation

  • Able to understand the difference between the question being asked and the question the business needs answered

  • Able to identify, diagnose, and correct data issues, with both internal partners and external vendors

  • Willingness to ask questions and challenge status quo to benefit the organization

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Customer service experience

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills

  • Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task

  • Collaborate well with others, including internal and external team members.

  • Detail-oriented with strong project management, organization, and time management skills.

  • Must be flexible and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, changing environment and multi-task with little supervision

Desired Experience:

  • Master's Degree Business Administration or equivalent work experience preferred

  • Experience serving as a change agent, using data and analytics to inform strategy and presenting recommendations in easily digestible communications

  • Experience working cross-functionally in a matrixed environment with competing priorities

  • Experience working with offshore teams preferred

  • Possesses solid project management skills and client influencing and relationship building skills

  • 5 years of related experience in consulting and/or high-level client-facing roles

  • Works willingly and effectively with others in and across the organization to accomplish team goals.

  • Experienced with developing consultative relationships with senior level managers and executives at clients

  • Ability to manage multiple projects, juggle priorities and deliver on tight deadlines

  • Knowledge of consulting methodologies, tools and techniques related to functional area

  • Excellent presentation, communication and client influencing skills
