IQVIA Contract Manager (Hybrid/Remote) in Parsippany, New Jersey

As a Contract Manager within the IQVIA US Contracts team, you will manage, develop and advise on contracts within the U.S. business unit with a focus on IQVIA’s commercial services (data, analysis services, consulting, technology). You will be responsible for the accurate preparation of client contracts in adherence with US policies and guidelines. This role serves as a primary contact for the US Sales and Business Development Teams in support of their contracts.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for review and negotiation of standard and non-standard contracts; liaison with Legal, Finance and other teams within the IQVIA organization to accommodate internal and external changes to standard terms and conditions to efficiently close a mutually acceptable contract.

  • Analyze proposals to determine contract terms required, both standard and non-standard.

  • Understand the database of contract terms and client contract templates used by the Contracts team to ensure consistency of terms and conditions.

  • Draft and review legal and business terms under the guidance of the contracts playbook, as well as attorney support, as needed.

  • Develop broad knowledge of the IQVIA US Business Line and each service line and their respective products/services through the review and preparation of agreements, as well as formal and informal learning opportunities.

  • Prepare client statements of work, amendments and other client correspondence as needed under supervision while identifying potential risks associated with terms and conditions to minimize risk(s) for the organization and business teams.

  • Communicate/articulate concerns to appropriate IQVIA legal and business representatives.

  • Manage workload independently with minimal guidance and in accordance with expected SLAs, sometimes in a dynamic environment of high volume and urgency.

  • Leverage business experience utilizing business acumen to identify solutions to address client concerns while aligning to IQVIA business objectives.

  • Identify and assist in the implementation/communication of contracting efficiencies, as appropriate, and often with collaboration from other departments and stakeholders.

Minimum Education, Experience, & Specialized Knowledge Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and/or a minimum of 5-7 years of contract manager work experience

  • Understanding of contract language and experience revising and drafting agreement terms required.

  • Understanding of IQVIA’s data, services and technology a plus.

  • Experience working in the healthcare industry a plus.

  • SharePoint experience a plus

  • Ability to learn quickly

  • Strong business acumen; ability to exercise good business judgement

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Collaboration with contracts team colleagues and maintaining good working relationships with internal clients

  • Time management skills; ability to handle high volume requests critical

  • Excellent organization skills; project management experience a plus

  • Ability to multitask and work independently.
