IQVIA FP&A Analyst in North Sydney, Australia

This role is open to candidates who are based in Sydney with full Australian working rights.

As our new Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst, you will be pivotal in supporting IQVIA’s financial planning and analysis activities. You will provide valuable insights that drive strategic decision-making within the organisation.

Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks. You will assist in preparing financial analyses of actual, forecast, and budget figures, identifying key trends in the process. You will also perform variance analysis of monthly expenses to spot trends.

Your role will involve active participation in meetings with cost centre managers, where you will discuss forecasts and preliminary budgets. A key part of your role will be to familiarise yourself with and ensure compliance with the organisation’s internal financial accounting procedures and policies.

You will be tasked with developing specific business metrics that facilitate timely and actionable information flow for both daily operational and long-term strategic planning purposes. Each month, you will prepare financial reporting packs for business leads.

A crucial part of your role will be to ensure the achievement of business financial targets. This will involve monitoring spending, providing insight, and giving early warnings. Lastly, you will identify and monitor areas of risk and/or opportunity, assessing their financial impact on the business. This comprehensive set of responsibilities will enable you to provide valuable insights and drive strategic decision-making within the organisation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

  • 3+ years of experience in commercial finance, ideally in a technology or consulting business

  • Experience with budgeting, planning, and forecasting

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel formulas and functions

  • Proficiency in financial modelling

  • Knowledge of finance modules of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and financial reporting tools.

  • Experience with SAP and Hyperion would be advantageous
